What Is a BBL With SAFEBBL™?

What to Expect From Your Brazilian Butt Lift
Consultation for Your BBL
Every BBL surgery needs to start with a detailed consultation. At our practice, we never rush patients in and out because we want to ensure that there is enough communication between us and our patients. We will take a history and do a full physical examination to determine your candidacy for the treatment and to evaluate the work that can be done during your surgery.
We can give you an accurate idea of what to expect from your gluteal augmentation. Since everyone’s body is different, your result may look different from some else’s. But with our experience, we can help you to adjust your expectations to what can be achieved with your body.
During the Surgery
A typical butt augmentation at our surgery center takes between 1.5 to 2 hours. We typically perform these surgeries on an outpatient basis while the patient is under general anesthesia. Our surgeries take place at our JCAHO-accredited surgery facility.
During the first part of the butt augmentation procedure, we will perform liposuction on your abdomen, thighs, or other areas both to help contour your waistline and to harvest enough fat to enhance and augment your buttocks.
After enough fat is harvested, the fat will be cleansed and prepared for injection into the buttocks. The fat is injected into the area until the appearance matches the results that we talked about during your BBL consultation.
After the Surgery
It is important to get plenty of rest after your Brazilian butt lift. You should make sure you have someone who is willing to drive you home and then stay with you through the first 24 hours of recovery. Once you are home, you will need to avoid sitting on your buttocks or laying on your back until the area has time to heal. We will send you home from your butt contouring appointment with oral medication to help with any pain from the procedure.
You can expect to see some results from your Brazilian buttock lift right away. However, it can take up to a year to be able to see your full results.
