Ideal candidates are in good overall health, maintain a stable weight, and have realistic expectations. Body lifts are especially beneficial for individuals with significant skin laxity, sagging, or uneven body contours caused by major weight loss, pregnancy, or natural aging. Post-bariatric surgery patients, in particular, should wait at least a year after their surgery before having a body lift or any other plastic surgery. Candidates should avoid smoking, be in good general health, and women should not plan to get pregnant in the near future.
Your surgeon will assess your goals and anatomy to determine if a body lift is the right option for your needs.
